The Best Air Fryer For Cooking for 2-3 People
Air Fryers are rapidly increasing in popularity in the United States. It’s no surprise that a ton of shoot up companies are offering Air Fryers in an attempt to cash in. There’s so many Air Fryers out there now that it’s hard to know which ones to even consider.
We’re not going to get into a lot of technical douchebaggery here. All modern Air Fryers are very safe and easy to use. All of them feature dishwasher safe baskets and pans, so you don’t need to worry about comparing that stuff. All we’re concerned about is:
- Does it do a good job of cooking my food?
- Is it dependable (nobody likes a lemon…well, unless it’s tea time)
- How much is this fancy gadget going to cost me? What is the Air Fryer Price compared to other Air Fryers?
Let me tell you, I’ve used several different Air Fryers, but one has consistently came out on top. Philips was on the scene when Air Fryer first appeared, and they’ve been introducing quality machines ever since.
Philips Air Fryers cook evenly and quickly, due to the patented starfish design they use in the pan. Simply put, this allows the hot air to circulate more efficiently around your food.
Coming in at around $160-180, this is a fine piece of kitchen gadgetry at a reasonable price. If you are planning on cooking for 2-3 people, you can’t go wrong with the Philips Viva Air Fryer.
The Best Air Fryer for Cooking up to 4-5 People
Are you looking to cook bigger portions of food in your Air Fryer? Well my friend, you’re going to need a larger capacity Air Fryer. These are harder to come across than the normal 3.8quart machines.
Worse yet, some companies just make the Air Fryer’s capacity bigger while not adding enough power to cook that extra food quickly and evenly. Sure, you can cook for up to 5 people…you just have to wait 10-15 minutes longer. Steer clear of those shysters!
The folks at Philips have just come out with a new family size Air Fryer. They call this beast the Philips Avance XL. It has a fully digital control panel, which has one button press programs for many of your favorite foods.
Now, there is a cost for all of these extra features and the bigger capacity. This Air Fryer usually runs around $280-300. Keep in mind, this is the top of Philips’ Air Fryer line up. It simply does not get much better than this.
If you are looking for something under the $200 mark but still big enough to cook for 4-5 people, you may want to check out the Cozyna Air Fryer XL. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the Philips, but it has a large capacity with power to boot!
The Best Do-It-All Air Fryer
Not all Air Fryers are made equal, and you can tell that this one is a different bird altogether! The DeLonghi Multi-Fry is a multi-cooker and Air Fryer in one!
What exactly does this mean? For starters, the Multi-Fry has a separate bottom burner. This opens up all sorts of possibilities, from baking cookies and cakes to cooking rice and stews. Or, you can just use the top heating system as a normal Air Fryer…it’s up to you. You have the power! If you are doing an Air Fryer price comparison, and look at the best Air Fryer, the Delonghi is definitely one to look at!
Another awesome feature of the DeLonghi is the automatic paddle (which is removable). This Air Fryer actually stirs your food for you while you go walk the dog or sneak a glass of wine…whatever floats your boat.
On top of all of that, this Air Fryer is huge! You can fit a small turkey in there. (I’ve done it!) The pan itself is perfectly round, so you can make pizzas or cakes if you are inclined to do so.
I do have one minor gripe about this machine, however. For it’s size, it is a little underpowered. You can expect slightly longer cooking times with this machines compared to the others I’ve mentioned in this article. But, no other Air Fryer can match the DeLonghi in versatility!
How about one more tidbit of great news? My friend Boog has been cooking with her DeLonghi Multi-Fry for years now, and has made an extremely impressive library of recipe videos on YouTube. I promise you, you won’t run out of ideas while that Air Frying fiend is around!
Oh wait, one more thing! (jeez, this is starting to sound like an infomercial) The DeLonghi Multi-Fry comes in comfortably under $200, and has very reasonable 3 year protection plans. I honestly can’t recommend a better do-it-all Air Fryer than this one. If someone recommends a T-FAL over the Delonghi…run…run for the hills, my gentle reader!

The Best Budget Air Fryer Under $100 Bucks
Now, I know you might be thinking, “listen here fella…I’m on a budget. Can’t you recommend an Air Fryer under $100?”. Well, I haven’t done my good deed for the month yet, so here it is. This is the cheapest one in the air fryer price comparison guide.
The Cozyna Air Fryer is a rock solid performer at a mighty friendly price. It may not be quite up to the Philips Viva’s standards, but it’s very nice. You get a powerful machine with enough capacity to cook for up to 3 people.
With the Cozyna, you also get a digital touch screen control panel with some easy preset cooking patterns to choose from. And what’s this…it comes with a little grilling rack with kabob skewers. Super Bonus!
Priced at under $100 with dirt cheap 3 year protection plans (we’re talking under $10), you can’t do much better for the money. You can try, but don’t come crying to the Air Fryer guy!
I actually bought my mom this Air Fryer a couple years back and she’s still using it at least a couple times a week to cook fish and chips. So there you have it, the Cozyna Digital Air Fryer is mom approved! Where else can you find such acclaim?
Well, here we are at the end of all things… I hope you enjoyed this little Air Fryer price comparison guide. A Quick Word About the Author
How rude of me, please allow myself to introduce…well..myself. My name is Jake, and I cooked at a nice small town diner for several years. If you’re here because you love fried food but hate the consequences, let me tell you, no one understands better than I do.
Back in those days, I had easy access to a fryer… my waste line was a dead give away. When the Air Fryer started making it’s way to the United States, I couldn’t resist getting one and trying it out.
Well, that was almost 4 years and 50 pounds ago, and I’ve fallen in love with my Air Fryers. If you’re looking for a healthier way to cook your favorite foods, I’d be willing to bet you’ll love an Air Fryer too. Cheers!
